ASICS has just presented a new iteration of its GEL-Nimbus 9 sneaker, and this time it is coated in a blend of “Obsidian Grey” and “Clay Grey.”
Recently, the silhouette has undergone various types of experimentation, with the likes of Angelo Baque, Tremaine Emory, and Rennell Madrano all dropping their own interpretations of the distance running shoe. The past releases have pulled from their designers’ lives; delving into past stories and experiences, thus, creating a slew of contrasting iterations that have all gone on to garner headlines in their own rights.
However, for this new version of the GEL-Nimbus 9, the design comes packed with a mesh upper and hairy suede overlays. Rounded laces are also complemented by a padded mesh tongue and the customary ASICS logo patch can be spotted on the padded collar and heel.
Keeping things comfortable and suitable for running life, the sneaker is rounded off with a rubber midsole, along with a GEL insert in the heel and forefoot. Bringing everything together, the textile lining has been used to cement the paneled detailing with darker hues of grey being seen on the toe cap, as well as along the lateral mid-panels.
You can have a closer look at the new GEL-Nimbus 9 above and it is available with select retailers such as Très Bien now.
