Billie Eilish Used Leftover Scraps From Her Previous Nike Collab to Craft Her New Air Force 1 Lows

Billie Eilish and Nike are closing out the year with a bang and banding together to deliver an earth-friendly Air Force 1 Low collection. This marks the follow-up to her previous Air Force 1 High team-up that was released earlier this year as well as her collection with Jordan Brand that featured a volt-covered Air Jordan 1 KO and an Air Jordan 15.

When brainstorming the concept behind this latest initiative with the Swoosh, the pop artist wanted to place an emphasis on sustainability. If you scan the upper halves of the two-pair capsule, you’ll notice that they are embellished with tonal, scrap-like shapes that provide a geometric aesthetic. This is because Eilish left no pieces on the cutting room floor and recycled bits from her aforementioned Air Force 1 High capsule to create the presentation of this new batch of Nike kicks. When reflecting on her thought process behind the collaboration, she said, “I want my collaboration with Nike to tell a story that not only highlights the importance of recycling but also reminds us that we need to take better care of our planet.”

Moody lookbook imagery of the artist and her new “Mushroom” and “Sequoia” Air Force 1 Low colorways can be seen in the gallery above. A release is set for December 13 via the Billie Eilish website and December 14 globally through select Nike retailers.
