Matthieu Blazy — creative director of Bottega Veneta — is already generating excitement for the brand’s fans thanks to the recent unveiling of its Pre-Spring 2023 collection. However, for fans yearning for new pieces from the Italian luxury house this season, you’re in luck because the brand just dropped a new variation of its Lug Boot. This latest installment comes reworked with a flashy new construction, and as a result, its price tag has been noticeably jacked up.
For context, a standard Bottega Veneta Lug Boot normally retails for $1,350 USD, and this pair costs a pretty $7,800 USD. The high-cut silhouette is erected with vegetable-tanned calfskin leather and comes smothered in “Dark Chestnut.” The biggest modification is that it’s been spruced up with all-over intreccio leather netting which gives the base layer further elevated texture and eye-catching appeal. Inside, the lining is crafted from calfskin as well, and tonal Bottega Veneta branding is debossed into the footbeds. Leather sole pieces are double-stacked and coated in all-black to provide subtle, neutral and versatile contrast.
For those interested in adding these to their rotation, you can find them available for purchase now via Bottega Veneta.
In case you missed it, Bottega Veneta just announced lifetime warranties for its bags.
