Founded in 2010, skate crew and video production company Diaspora Skateboards is closely connected to both the local music and skateboarding scene in Tokyo, often combining skate footage with homegrown tracks in a process of “SYMBIOSIS.” For its latest project, it partners with leading sneaker shop atmos and PUMA for a spin on the classic PUMA Suede VTG.
The upcoming pairs arrive in white grain leather uppers featuring quilt stitching across the silhouette. Baby blue hues are used across the side panels and heel tabs meanwhile gold accents decorate the various PUMA motifs. Black tongue tabs feature Diaspora’s fraternity-inspired logo and lace tips display additional Greek lettering. Rounding out the design are monogrammed insoles and light gum outsoles.
The special-edition Puma Suede VTG will be available via atmos’ online store and select retail locations October 29 for ¥13,200 JPY (approximately $90 USD). For those in Tokyo, a special launch event will is being held on October 28 at atmos BLUE Omotesando.
