Mountain Research and Reebok Reunite for New LX2200 Silhouette

Reebok and Mountain Research have connected for an all-new collaboration, and this time the duo have come together on a fresh LX2200 sneaker.

Back in August, Reebok and Mountain Research presented a fresh spin of the Beatnik silhouette, and its aesthetic was altered to align with the feel of early 2000s hiking boots. Now, their new collaboration has birthed a sneaker that looks to stay aligned with living a practical life, one that can take on any obstacle at any time.

For Mountain Research, the Japanese imprint has continued to stay true to its brand ethos since 2006, stating that “practical clothes are key.” And while this has been a consistent theme throughout their apparel, its new Reebok sneaker is more of the same as the new shoe is crafted from a lightweight Dyneema fabric, designed to keep the wearer comfortable and agile for long periods.

Furthermore, the sneaker is also complemented with a buffed EVA midsole, while the flexed grooves on the outsole allow changing direction at speed effortless. The shoe is also designed with abstract paneled detailing that takes over the lateral sides and toe box. Additionally, hues of dark red are coated across the upper and this is partnered by the clean tones of grey which take over the remainder of the shoe.

Rounding off the design, the customary Mountain Research branding can be spotted on the tongue and Reebok’s classic Union Jack logo is used on the lateral side.

You can have a closer look at the Mountain Research x Reebok LX2200 above and the sneaker will be available on the official Reebok website from December 16.

In other news, the adidas National Tennis OG has made its return.
