AMBUSH and Nike have forged a strong relationship and worked on a vast array of sneaker projects together, and they’re set to reunite for a batch of Air Force 1 Low colorways this holiday season. Sneak peeks at the kicks have been gradually rolling out onto sneaker-focused social accounts, but now we’ve got an official look at the brand’s forthcoming “Game Royal” and “Green” colorways courtesy of Nike.
Yoon Ahn — the head fashion designer of AMBUSH — honored the silhouette’s 40th anniversary by making subtle adjustments to its upper build. Her elongated Swoosh logos — which were seen on her assemblage of Dunk collaborations in the past — have made their return, this time being coated in a bold “Varsity Maize” hue. AMBUSH branding is pronounced in various sections such as the tongues, the insoles and the heels, the latter of which rests on an added heel piece that sits just above the midsole. Additionally, the laces have been accessorized with a deubre that features a 3D “AF1” hit. Both options are completed with bottoms that match up with their base layer’s tumbled leather panels.
Check out a closer look above and find Nike and select retailers dropping these on December 16.
