Dropping this Friday, here is an official look at the Extra Butter x Diadora S8000 Giallo 2.0.
This new collaboration between Extra Butter and Diadora dresses up the S8000 model in a way that it pays homage to a niche film genre of Italian horror from the 1970s that’s also known as Giallo. Releasing alongside a private label Extra Butter collection, the Extra Butter x Diadora S8000 Giallo 2.0 is a sequel to the 2016 partnership between both parties.
“The term Giallo literally translates to Yellow, which was originally a literary reference to Yellow colored paperbacks of Italian mystery novels in the 1930s that focused on themes that influenced a movement for Italian filmmakers decades later,” says Extra Butter Creative Director, Bernie Gross.
The Extra Butter x Diadora S8000 Giallo 2.0 is made in Italy with attention to high craftsmanship. Details include a striking, multi-color palette on premium-quality pig suede and leather material. The tongue and footbed is embellished with ornate geometric accents which hardcore horror fans will recognize as deep cut Giallo film references. The sneakers will also come with special custom packaging which also includes a hangtag.
Look for the Extra Butter x Diadora S8000 Giallo 2.0 and matching apparel to release on January 27th at 11AM EST in-store at Extra Butter, and online at extrabutterny.com on Saturday, January 28th at 9AM EST for the retail price of $240.
