Mark “Gonz” Gonzales is known as the godfather of skateboarding, setting feet to board in his teenage years and revolutionizing the sport in more ways than one. Now, the prolific adidas collaborator returns with another Aloha Super, introducing the model in bright “Scarlet” tones as a nod to his chair-wrestling scene in Harmony Korine’s 1997 film, Gummo.
Dubbed “Chair Fight,” the Aloha Super is primed with a red suede base and sees beaming Three Stripes branding at the medials with a patent leather finish. Mark Gonzales’ cursive signature is embroidered into the heel tabs, while his illustrative Shmoofoil emblem decorates the tongues.
The design is completed with semi-translucent black rubber sole units, delivering increased grip to the skate-ready model.
