The Nike Air Huarache is Readied in “University Blue” Tones

Following the reveal of the “Hyper Grape” colorway revealed earlier this summer, Nike is submerging the 31-year-old Air Huarache in vibrant hues of “University Blue.”

The in-line lifestyle model designed by footwear titan Tinker Hatfield now arrives in an icy build complete with striking glacial blue tones on the upper running through the leather mudguards and medial flaps. Similarly, dotted mesh sets its touch on the toe boxes, while a soft velour-like fabric adds delightful texture to the quarter underlays, collars, and heel areas.

The tongues don customary Air Huarache tags, while the silhouette’s trademark plastic cages receive a semi-translucent blue tint marked with Nike branding at the rears. White curved midsoles see embossed patterns and engraved “AIR” lettering, which add further decorative hits. Frosty bottoms complete the design.

Take a closer look at the Nike Air Huarache “University Blue” in the gallery above, and expect the sneaker to arrive at Nike and select retailers later this year for $130 USD.

Elsewhere, Kobe Bryant’s adidas Crazy 1 “Lakers Home” colorway is getting reissued.
